NEVER GIVE UP!!
NEVER SURRENDER!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Heh. Wait until we play Notre Dame. He'll be saying that we'll never beat them again because we haven't beaten them in the four years he's been here. What a tool.

GREAT WIN TONIGHT!!!!!

Let's get one outright tomorrow! :)

As much as I hate shootouts, great win. Last I had checked the in game stats was the middle of the second period and we were down 2-1. It also said we were getting outshot 34-12. If the shot stat is correct, that makes this win even better. Congrats guys. Sweep em tomorrow!

Well, not one of my better predictions, that's for sure. I should've never made that post before the game anyway, looking back it was mean-spirited and incendiary in nature. I'm not going to do that again going forward. Virtually everybody knows where I stand on the team/program, so I'm going to try to not to rain on everybody's parade in the future.

As for the game, yeah, this result caught me completely off guard. I'm impressed. This is a B!G win for sure. 1-0 in the CCHA?! That has a nice ring to it. Hopefully the team and coaching staff can build on this victory and gain some momentum. Too many times we get a big win like this and come out flat in the 1st period the next game. I guess what I'm saying is, this game is certainly a big deal, but a sweep, now THAT would be something way past enormous. A sweep would cause the whole CCHA to turn their heads and go, WHOA!

This is a huge win. I thought that playing away against an opponent that is ranked in the top 20 would be tough. I didn't expect us to win either of these games, but at this point who's to say we can't go for the sweep. Williams is doing a hell of a job with this team.

I think it shows a bit of class for you 24 to give credit and not make excuses or we got lucky comments. Hats off to you.

On the greatest note, how bout that win tonight ehh. I know that this team can compete after last saturday night and looking at the score being 2-1 i know alot of people prolly thought it was over for us but we fought back hard and made it a great game. Scary that we gave up a geno with under a minute left but still a tremendous performance by hammy. 43 saves last i saw against a very good UNO team. This guy gives us a chance to win games. Looking at this weekend I would love for a win tomorrow night but coming outta UNO with a split is big enough. Lets go Falcons and continue to battle.

Looking at the CCHA standings on USCHO's site it says UNO and BGSU both have 1 point....

I thought the new scoring rules were in effect this year? 2 points for a shootout win and 1 point for a shootout loss?

http://www.uscho.com/standings/index.ph ... c&gender=m" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

EDIT: Even the CCHA website has UNO and BGSU tied with 1 point a piece and we have a 0 in the SW column (where our extra point should be).... what gives?
