Yes!!! Let's keep the momentum going!
From the above Sentinel article: "The error was discovered after the game by referees Steve McInchak and Derek Berkebele. McInchak is one of the CCHA's best referees."
Seriously? Clearly, this writer hasn't watched the games McInchak has refereed at BG! :axe:

In any case, CONGRATS GUYS, YOU DESERVED THE WIN...PERIOD!!!!!

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP DUH MAVS!!!

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Todd, you missed that little winky face!! (Grammar usage, and making fun of it, is a long running topic around here....)

Well here we are. This is probably the biggest game BG has played since the end of the 07-08 season. A victory, and BG moves to 2-0 in the CCHA with two quality victories on the road. Go get em boys! Show me that there will indeed be a sweep this weekend!! :P

Official Statement from the CCHA: LINK
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The CCHA today released the following statement in regard to the shootout that took place on Friday, Oct. 30th following an overtime tie between Bowling Green and Nebraska-Omaha.

"After a review of the circumstances surrounding the completion of last night’s game between Bowling Green and Nebraska Omaha, it is clear that our officiating crew made an error in permitting a player who was serving a penalty when the overtime period concluded, to participate in the shootout," stated CCHA Commissioner Tom Anastos. "This error in rules enforcement during the course of the game, while unfortunate, can only be corrected during the course of the game. Once the game is concluded, there are no further actions that can take place to correct the situation."

According to CCHA Rule V.8, protests arising from decisions of game officials or from errors or misinterpretations of the rules will not be considered, and according to NCAA Rule 6-SECTION 39, protests are not recognized or allowed.

The CCHA will conduct a review of all policies, protocol and circumstances surrounding this situation.

Seems kind of odd if it was planned, especially for a series at UNO.

If it was the same crew, I would have tried to sneak Blake, Emerson and Holzinger out for a shift or two. :-D

Whether it be 2-0 or 1-0-1-1, it's worth 4 points. And that's what we're hoping for.

It'd be nice if gametracker was even listing the game, I have no idea what's going on.
