Surprised that NO ONE has mentioned the obvious adjustments made by BG coaches at halftime... we couldn't stop ANYONE from UB in 1st 2 Q... either by run or pass... finally, began to blitz more, especially from our RIGHT side... it stopped UB's QB (lefthanded) from rolling out to his left, then throwing back to a 3rd receiver in the middle of field... the "run blitzes" also seemed to jam up UB's run game a lot in 2nd half also...
Finally, as well as we played in 2nd half, UB's coaching staff seemed clueless as to how to "re-adjust" to our changes....
Congratulations, coaching staff, on a job well done...and congrats to a team that just wouldn't quit last nite... I stopped yelling at the TV at all the missed tackles in 1st half, because we looked like a different D in 2nd half... and especially congrats to our special teams with exception of Willie's mistake in attempting to catch a ball inside the 5.... think that PJ Mahone makes a difference out there?

Re: Coaching Adjustments
It sure did look like our coaches were on top of it last night. I love the focus and fire I see out of Clawson on the sidelines.
Turner Gill OTOH, looked like a deer in the headlights during the 4th quarter.
The effort and fight on BG's part was appreciated. It was hard to see things not working out in the first, and having a few tough breaks against us seemed to be piling on. The fact that our guys kept competing really is encouraging. Great job by the coaches, IMO.
This was the first nationally televised tv game that we've won in awhile, it seems. I'm so happy about the win.

I may have been away from the TV, but I remember listening to that game on the radio. I'm thinking that it wasn't nationally televised.
All the same, it seems like we tend to struggle on TV with a few exceptions like the Pitt game.

Pitt was nationally televised I think, but it might have been ESPNU.

I got a chuckle reading this in The Blade this morning after remember some postings here praising the coaches for making adjustments at halftime:
"Bowling Green didn't draw up a secret second-half defensive game plan in the locker room at halftime to slow down the Bulls, who gained more than 300 rushing yards by the end of the second quarter.
"We just challenged our players and said 'There's nothing scheme-wise that we're going to do different. You guys need to get off of blocks, be physical and start tackling people,'" Clawson recalled. "We played terrible in the first half. We didn't tackle and we gave up 300 yards in the first half. We weren't bringing our legs and we were taking poor angles and it looked like we had never tackled before."

I get what you're saying...but to me those ARE adjustments...if for no other reason that they got these kids on D to FOCUS more on fundamentals, which hopefully had been taught earlier in the fall. And the pressure from our RIGHT side, totally missing in 1st half, suddenly resulted in a couple hurries and sacks by the UB QB, whose left handed rollout passes had absolutely KILLED us in 1st half.. funny thing was...as I was about to throw a shoe thru my TV in 1st half..was I said to my wife... "where is our Pressure from right side? Stop this kid from those rollouts as he doesn't look comfortable in the pocket or going to his right".

Picturing you getting ready to throw a shoe at your television makes me chuckle. Not in a bad way, just a funny image.

Re: Coaching Adjustments
I thought Clawson looked very bewildered just about every time they showed him on TV during the game.
