Game over. As ugly as it was....it was only one game. Time to move on and put it behind us.

Here's hoping for a MUCH better outcome tomorrow night (and a LOT less penalties)!!!

GO ICERS!!!
WIN BEAT THE BULLDOGS!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

pretty sad when the best plays were clearing the puck on a pk
ferris sure knows their boards and they shoot first and ask questions later
steve piotrowski was at the game - I think I saw anastos, too
All is for the best in this best of all possible worlds.

I will be honest, We should have had them, the guys were playing great in the 1st, good smart hockey. Then JST scored and they turned into a band of stupid retards, muging trick or tr eaters.
Seriously, if these guys cant stay out of the box, were doomed.

I mentioned this in the chat, JST in 2009-10 is starting to become what Derek Whitmore was for us in 2007-08. Whitmore was a prolific goal scorer, that without, we would have been screwed because nobody else was scoring any goals. He ended up with around 30 goals for the year, and only a few other guys barely broke double digits. Somebody has to step up and support JST or teams are going to start taking him away through gameplanning.

Of course, none of this matters if you can't stay out of the penalty box, continually get outshot, and give up 5 or more goals in half of your games.

3-2 loss. Petruska scores one late to get it close but Falcons can't convert with the extra attacker.

The fact that we went 1 for 8 on the power play and allowed a short-handed goal might have been what cost us the game. That PP has gotta get better if we're going to win games like these.

At least we scored on the PP, that's already an improvement over last year. Many PPs last year we didn't even get any shots off. Last year's PP was comically bad, which I attribute partly to Paluch's insistance on never putting a man in front of the goal. Does anybody know if we've got a man right in front of the goalie on most of our power plays now?

Kantola was in front of the net most of the time on the power play. Ferris State's penalty kill is very, very good.
