I'm not crazy about a 6 pm kick-off, but I'll be there clad in stylish orange and brown.

Go BG!

I was hoping to head down, as Oxford isn't too far a drive from here in Dayton, but I wound up being scheduled to work until 7pm Thursday, so it wouldn't be worth it to rush down there just to catch maybe the last 10 minutes of the game. I'll definitely be keeping track of it with a beer in hand once I get home from work though.

If the game was on a Saturday, the fiance and I would head down their for a day trip but being that its on Thursday, I have class that day till 2pm and it would be 5:30-6pm before id get there. After the last time I went there in 2003, which I took a charter bus with the parents of the players and sat with Coach Brandon's son where we played college football trivia all the way down.(I won by asking him what the mascot of UC-Santa Cruz was). The whole game they chanted two things to us all in the stands. "Go back to walmart" and "STD's". After we got our butts kicked I was heading back to the bus where I was meet by 3 Miami college students who asked me what I had in the bag I was carrying and then they told me to follow them. Obviously they were planning on robbing me but luckily a campus cop came up and escorted the wanna be preppy gang bangers away.

I was there in 05 where we had to wait around 90 minutes for the game to start, and I really do believe that BG had more fans in the stands that day. If they were chanting anything that game the 10 of them did not make a enough noise to make it across the field.

I was there too - that game was AWESOME! We definitely had more fans than the home team in that one and I believe we counted 23 Miami fans in the stands at the end of the game ... probably mostly parents. Definitely one of my most memorable BG experiences. Getting home at like 4 am sucked, though.

I had to go to methods the next day, and I left early because I had was starting to spike a fever. It was the second best game I went to behind the NIU Gameday game.

That was during my freshmen year, my first ever BG road trip, a memorable one for sure

Next week is my last week in Lexington, KY so maybe if the stars align I might head up with a friend. However, it just won't the same as '05 without UK Peregrine, a pot of chili and a bottle of bourbon. Plus I can't take the whole day off like last time either.

Being that I'm stuck here in the Buffalo area and the game is on a Thursday, no trip to Oxford again for me. Miami is the one trip I've always wanted to make but couldn't. I would've made the trip in 2005 but I came down with strep throat 2 days before the game and sat it out. Then in 2007 I had a passing in the family about 3-4 days before the game. It sucked, but looking back on it, the 07 game was pretty painful anyway.

Since they took the game off of espnu, it'll likely be gamecast for me. :x

I have to work until 6:00. I was hoping to be able to switch with someone, but it hasn't happened.

There is a group from the Indy Alumni group driving over.

Brie and a nice Cabernet? The keys to the Beamer? A sharp pair of Madras shorts and an Izod shirt? Were they in the bag themselves?
