87 IS PRETTY GOOD...71 ain't bad... 11 is ok and how can u forget mad-max and the FLOWER!!! O and disco DAN!!!

I'm just kidding i just think its sad that they call Detroit "hockey town" and they had a ton of empty seats at game 7?

I don't mind the Blue jackets, just throwin another won in there...i wouldn't mind Hamberger on the 3rd line.

Guy LaFleur came out of retirement again?

I was at game 7 of the cup finals....and there were no empty seats.....you are obviously dumb....and probably didnt see the game...maybe you saw intermission when 80% of the people were going to get a beer or something but it definately wasnt empty.

It's no secret that Detroit had problems selling out their playoff games last year. The only series that sold out from the first game to the last was the Finals and there were a lot of Pens fans even then.

Given the state of the economy there I'm not surprised.

Exactly. It has to do with a lot more than who is a bigger fan. Detroit's economy is a shambles and they still manage to draw more than respectable crowds and continue to win.

You and Mike Emrick should write a book together called " Detroit needs to win the cup because of the terrible economy...it would be sooo good for the city and revenue and blah-blah...verbal diarrhea"

Thanks for posting the link to the You Tube piece on Rob and Dan. It brought back so many memories to when I was a student equipment manager on the team. Got chills watching those highlights. Those were the days! Couldn't be happier for the success that the two of them have had in the pros but others from those teams as well. Only wish the magic would come back to the program and the arena.

From the way your posts read, the only diarrhea here is in your head.

Where did I say "Detroit needs to win the cup because of the terrible economy?"

I simply pointed out the fact that they continue to draw large crowds in spite of the fact that the city's economy is in the toilet.

I was there for the first three games... couldn't go to game 7. And it was packed every night. And I was dressed in Pittsburgh attire. Go Pens!

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
