I gotta say, I'm hoping for a 10 p.m. start. I can't take the day off and I really want to be there so I wouldn't be able to leave for the game until around 6.

One year they gave me the day off because I said it was a Hindu holiday, and I claimed that my mother was a Hindu. It was Harris' final year, and it was a great game. The ironic part about this claim was they told me I would get it off while I was eating burgers from Rally's.

Here's my two cents. My guess is that we probably won't have this game televised. It's actually pretty easy to figure out. Temple at Ohio AND Northern Illinois at Central Michigan are both that day as well. NIU/CMU could be the de facto West Division Championship Game, if NIU were to continue to win and keep pace with CMU. If they don't then that game loses it's importance, but it's still big for bowl positioning, etc. Temple at Ohio looks like a potential East Division Championship, if those two continue to win. That is one of the few games set in stone time-wise, at 2pm.

There's also Buffalo at Kent State, which is currently scheduled for tv as well, though since it also starts at 2pm it will likely get dropped by espnu and not be televised. Interestingly enough, NIU at CMU is currently NOT on tv, but the time says TBA. You can bet your bottom dollar that if a trip to Detroit is on the line, that game will get a primo spot, maybe even prime time on espn2, since there's no games currently scheduled on the 27th for the nighttime.

So yeah, it's not looking good for us to still be on tv for UT-BG, unless of course, the game is moved to either 11am (since Temple-Ohio is at 2pm), or to an evening start. If it's the evening, then we have to hope that NIU/CMU gets onto espn2 and not espnu, otherwise our game will overlap theirs and we'll be left out. I guess another possibility would be to have our game start at 5pm, after Ohio/Temple, and have NIU/CMU at 8pm. That's probably the best scenario of all, as everybody would make it to tv, though it would be an odd start time for us.

If ESPN drops it do not rule out BCSN...

The game is either going to be at 11am on an ESPN family network (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU or ESPN Regional/360) or at 2pm not on an ESPN family network (but probably still on BCSN).

Why do you even bring up evening times? That would be like suggesting it could be played on Saturday.

Yay, so the whole 0 people in BG that get BCSN can see the game. :(

It's always boggled my mind how BG continues to put their games on a network that nobody in the local area even has. How big is Buckeye cable up in Toledo anyway? Do they get more subscribers there than Time Warner?

If people in BG want to see the game shouldn't they actually get out of their recliners and go to it?

Probably not, but I don't see Time Warner creating an all-sports network that airs a large percentage of BG sporting events.

If people in BG wanted to see a BG home game that bad, drive to the east side of town. I don't see how putting BG on TV in the market of our main rival is a bad thing.

Ummmm...if the game is on tv anywhere...even BCSN...there's a pretty good chance it wil be on channelsurfing.net for free. It would probably be on the Unversity's website for $$ as part of the B2 partnership.

Obviously Buckeye's subscriber base is dwarfed by Time Warner's national subscriber base. However, in the Toledo market Time Warner is not a presence. Most of the region either has Time Warner or Buckeye...there are a few areas that overlap and give the residents a choice, but not much.

There used to be pockets of Adelphia as well, but they were bought out by Time Warner.
