Favorite plays of 2004 season?
With so many amazing plays to chose from season I had to narrow it down to these three(in no paticular order)
BGSU vs. Oklahoma- Keon Newson picks off Heisman winner Jason White for a touchdown.
BGSU vs. SEMO- T.J. Carswell lays one the hardest hits of the year when he blocked SEMO's all-american tightend.
BGSU vs. Memphis- Omar throws a touchdown to Steve Sanders( the second one) to seal the deal in the GMAC bowl.

Everyone wants to be in someone else's shoes- Steve Sanders

My top 3:
1. Keon's pick at Oklahoma -- I really thought our chances of winning after that play were pretty good; if only we could have stopped one 3rd and 4 on that next drive.
2. Crossley's "fumble" return against whoever it was. Incredible play by a guy his size.
3 (tie) White's hit on the KO return against Marshall and Crumpler's hit on Lance Moore at UT on the KO.
Too many TDs out of the offense for me to single one of them out as the highlight of the year for me.

I heard more of the season than I saw... but of what I did see, this is the one play that stands out for me.Falcon52 wrote:Keon's interception off of White was my favorite. It happened so fast. You could almost hear the Sooner fans saying "What just happened?"

I'm impressed!
A bunch of you beat me to it. Being from Wooster originally, my favorite was definitely seeing a former General, Terrel White, put a slobberknocker on the Marshall guy and forcing that fumble on the kickoff. That was a huge play at the time that enabled us to open up a two TD lead. My other favorites would have to be Keon's picks for TD's against Oklahoma and Marshall. Finally, I'll have to say Omar to Steve Sanders against Memphis in the GMAC Bowl. Really, tons of great plays to choose from this season. Gotta give some props to Sean, too, for that 52-yard FG against Ohio. This season was so fun. Hopefully the resounding victory in the GMAC Bowl will get this team back in the top 25. They deserve it.
Roll Along You BG Warriors!

Since most of my others have been taken (apparently an INT returned for a TD against the defending Heisman winner is a big deal or something.
), I'm gonna throw a vote in for best use of the Gatorade bucket after soaking Coach Brandon at the end of the bowl game. The player escapes me now, but finishing it off with putting the bucket on the head coaches head is classic!
Why? Because he shows a little emotion? I find it rather refreshing and your comment rather harsh.Redwingtom wrote:Just another in the long line of incidents affirming that Brandon has no class.JohnnySwoop '85 wrote:Suisham's 52 yard field goal at Ohio University....only time I have ever seen Coach Brandon test his vertical jump!

I think he was taking a poke at fans of a certain "university" in the next county.BGFan wrote:Why? Because he shows a little emotion?
