Fantasy game for BG-Michigan series

Post by Freddie »

Here's how it works: You choose FIVE skaters (3 forwards and 2 Dmen) from EITHER team (that's right, YOUR team can contain ANY combination of BG and Michigan players...but there has to be 3 forwards and 2 d's).

Both team's TOP THREE SCORERS ARE INNELIGIBLE! Nobody can use them: (Rust, Hagelin & Brown from UM... Samuels-Thomas, Petruska & Solway from BG).

You choose ONE set of FIVE for FRIDAY, and another set of FIVE for SATURDAY...and you CAN'T use ANY of the same players on BOTH nights.

Any time one of your players earns a point (either a goal or an assist) you earn a point. Most points wins 6 COOKIES from "THE COOKIE JAR!"

Results based on box scores as reported on USCHO, and all entries for BOTH nights need to be in before 6:30pm Friday.

IF YOU DON'T WANT OTHER PLAYERS TO SEE YOUR PICKS BEFORE THEY MAKE THEIRS, YOU CAN SEND THEM TO ME BY PRIVATE MESSAGE!

TIE-BREAKER= Total goals, both teams for the entire series (NOT including shootout...FYI: Shootout goals DON'T count in the points contest, either.)

Have Fun, Go BG, Wallop the Weasels!

I have decided that from this point forward, I'm going to stop giving 2nd chances. I'm not even going to look at the entries till after Friday night's game. If you list a player who's been declared innelligible, you're stuck with the zero that he can earn. If you list a forward as a defenseman, or vise versa, your team will be shorthanded. If you forget to give a number for the tie-breaker, you will lose the tiebreaker round.

I hate to sound like a badass, but the rules are pretty simple, and I might not always be able to get ahold of somebody who's made a mistake...so I guess it's not fair for me to correct any of the mistakes. If you catch your own error, that's fine...as long as the post is updated/edited before the Friday 630 deadline.

Oh, you are SUCH a badass!!!! \:D/
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."
~~USCHO Poster
"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

My bad. I should've read your entire original post so that I would've seen Solway listed. I looked at the cumulative scoring stats for the entire season on USCHO and I'm pretty sure it said that Solway wasn't a top 3 scorer. You must be going by the CCHA stats only.
