They keep saying we are going to play in the Pizza Bowl. Personally, you heard it here first, BG will play in the International Bowl. Why???? They want to showcase Freddie Barnes and that will actually draw a better audience.

Not real impressive, but any win over Toledo is sweet. Not sure it merits bowl game, but who knows. Just hate to go through anything like the previous debacle with Tulsa. Now on to the Steubenville-Mooney game is a couple of hours! So long from Las Vegas!

It was fugly, no question. Yet it remains that UT was the fugliest on the field. Two blocked punts, 1 dropped punt return, 2 INTs, another sure score lost to a strip near the endzone, and no running game to be seen. Of course they were throwing like crazy, they couldn't run against BG. And in the end, when it HAD too, BGSU did in fact score, something UT could not do.

UT fans will say, "oh, we beat ourselves." And no question they lived up to my high expectations of them. And you would think a guy that coached against Gary Pinkel would remember how UT never does well when you focus on hyping the team up. How many times did a Pinkel team get it into their head they were "all that," only to walk into a game and have their asses handed to them? Oh well. Just as long as we don't let this new Gary climb back into the series like the last one almost did.

And in the end, Beckman can add a third picture of the Peace Pipe to the UT locker room. Maybe take a lesson from Clawson and focus on game prep and not hype.
