I'm not saying they aren't important. Just saying they can't be the sole consideration. Nor even the overriding one as you appear to think they are.

And by you personally saying a person is an idiot, are you actually calling them Brother in your native tongue?

I don't what your issues are with bowl games are because I typically don't read your posts...this one was only two sentences so I gave it a shot

But...yes...the extra practices are, for this team in particular, the shiznit. Coaches only get to really coach during the spring and at fall camp. During the season they're doing game plan work and that chews up reps. Bowl practices gives them a third month to run actual practices. We have a brand new staff this year and we'll have a new QB next year, a ton of new guys on the OL and we 're graduating our top two WR's....we NEED those extra practices like Tiger Woods needs a good body shop.

33.33333% more opportunities to actually coach? That's a huge leg up on the rest of the non bowl conference members....like Toledo for example. That right there outweighs whatever issues you may have with a bowl game
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

I'm sorry I don't express myself in ways that only take a second to read, or that can be expressed verbally even while drinking beer.

Thank you for providing some actual reasons why the practices might be worth while. Now pray they get a decent match-up.
