Your awards for 2009
I didn't get to watch too many games this year so I was curious at those who did, what are your awards for 2009. MVP, Offenseive POY, D POY, ST POY, Freshman OY?

Re: Your awards for 2009
I think MVP is pretty obvious...Freddie Barnes.
Offensive POY (Assuming no player can win more than one award) - Tyler Sheehan
Defensive POY - Should have been PJ but the wacky tabacky got in the way of that...I say give it to the Line...all of them!
Special Teams - Roger Williams
Freshman - I have no idea.

MVP - Freddie Barnes
Offensive POY - Tyler Sheehan
Defensive POY - Jarret Sanderson
Special Teams - Nick Iovenelli
Freshman - Tough call between Adrian Spencer, Justus Jones, and I don't remember how Winston Ethridge and Blaec Walker played when they got in but I did hear their names a few times.

Chris Jones also had a few big games as a freshman on the D-Line. But I think Spencer is probably as good of a choice as any, with Justus Jones in the mix for a couple big games in the middle part of the season.
Seeing how the defense improved after Mahone's return shows how valuable he was to that side of the ball (not to mention his day on ST at Buffalo), but breaking team rules is obviously a dealbreaker when handing out team awards.

Isn't Spencer a sophomore? I swear I remember him playing some last year.

That is strange. It states he played 3 games last year, but he is still listed as a freshman. I am not clear on the redshirt rules.

I believe that Etheridge was hurt very early in the year, didn't play at all after that... Walker did the best of all IMO , but he's a RS frshmn if that counts...Can't figure why they didn't play Justus Jones more...he was DYAMITE in theKent game and looked good in several others.
