Would have helped more if Fontan decided to transfer before the game too! The road hasn't been kind this year. Hopefully they can get a little momentum with a win in NYC.

"you can see the time, Whittenberg, oh it's a long ways...... OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH they win it.... on the dunk!!!"

One of THE most incredible moments in sports history. Doesn't look like Lorenzo Charles is on his coaching staff to bail him out of this one....

Just in case anyone missed the reference, Fordham's fired coach is Dereck Whittenberg... and if you're in this forum, there is NO one who should have missed the reference. ;-)

Greatest

Finish

Ever

The only title game that comes close IMHO was the Villanova shooting exhibition against Georgetown.

I like the ones that finish with the Tar Heels cutting down the nets...especially the epic "Timeout" game...that was awesome.

In my opinion those two games Tom mention put the NCAA tournament on the map, maybe on top of the map! Yes sir those are two of the greatest games I've watch in my 41 plus years.

Word on the street is that Fontan is gone too.... we'll see tomorrow I guess.

From Fordham's Scout website:

The player known for taking one of the most famous shots in NCAA tournament history wasn't able to match that type of success at Fordham.

Success? Wasn't his "famous" shot an airball?
