Dan Sexton called up

Dan Sexton was called up on request to Manitoba. Sexton currently had 26pts in 18 games with Bakersfield and was 4th in the ECHL in scoring and 2nd in Goals Scored.

The Moose are seriously hurting for offense. Hope Dan can stick with the team.

Once again he continues to impress wherever he goes. In 3 games with the moose he had 2 assists in his debut and a goal Saturday night to make it a 4-2 lead and victory for the Moose. Keep after it Dan. With how anaheim is playing this kid could very well receive a call towards february if the Ducks arent in it anymore.

That would be pretty awesome if he could somehow get an NHL call up. He would have essentially climbed through 3 levels of hockey in roughly a year if that happens. Pretty unbelievable. Hopefully he can make it happen.

According to the AHL's transaction page, Dan Sexton was called up by the Anaheim Ducks today. Just thought I'd share that. Congrats to Dan for making it to the show.

When we saw him as a Freshman, everybody was talking about Jacob Cepis. My wife zeroed in on Dan right away. I remember her telling me he's the one everybody should be watching. Maybe Cookie should be a scout! Congrat's Dan! Show'em how it's done!

Got home from the hockey game just in time to catch most of the 3rd period in Minnesota. According to the game chart, Dan played about 13 minutes. He looked great! He was wearing #42. Funny to watch him on a line with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry. He came very close to scoring a goal too. Unfortunately, the Ducks lost in a shootout 5-4. Of course, he didn't see the ice in the OT or in the shootout. But it was great to see him on the ice and on the bench. I hope he sticks in Anaheim. Teemu Selanne is out something like 4 to 6 weeks with a broken bone in his hand. Maybe Dan can stay in "the show" for awhile. Congrat's Dan, we knew you were destined for great things!! Keep it up!

According to the news articles on the Ducks' site, they have 4 forwards out with injury.

Selanne, Lupul, Calder, and Carter are all injured.

It is very likely Dan could stay in the show for a while.. They obviously enjoy what he can do by willing to put him on the second line tonight. I already got tickets for next friday when anaheim plays at the joe

That's so exciting and a great deal of ice time. I hope at some point I can see him play in the big leagues. Just wish it wasn't for the ducks
