SUISHAM misses FG to close out Saints

Post by SB-50 »

Suisham missed a 23 yard FG to put Washington up 10 with under 2 minues left. Brees drove Saints down for tying TD after the miss.

Game is now in Overtime at 30-30. I hope our boy gets another chance.

He mised a 39 yard FG last week against the Cowboys and Redskins lost 7-6.

Not good.

I believe those are his only two misses this year. In the miss against Dallas, he was on the field waiting to kick for a long time. The officials could not get the previous sequence together.

He's 18 of 21 this year, but today's miss was critical

He missed from 23 (Saints) and 39 (Cowboys) that both cost them games. He also missed a 52 yarder in the Dallas game.

It really sucks for Shaun, for sure, but I'm still taking a little consolation in the fact that his miss pissed the Colts fans off around here. :-D

Tough day for ex-MAC players. BG fan fave Ben Rothlesberger lost at home when the Oakland QB threw for over three hundred yards and had three TDs in the last quarter, including the game winner with 9 seconds remaining.

JaMarcus Russell threw three touchdowns today? Get out.

Actually he needs one more to get to that number for the SEASON! But he does have thirty million dollars which is more than 27 million more than I have. Their good QB probably makes less than $! mill a year.

In fairness to Suisham, the snap was high and I am sure that messed up his timing.

per ProFootballTalk.com

"A day after the Redskins blew a shot at an upset for the ages of the Saints due in large part to Shaun Suisham's shank of a 23-yard field goal attempt that would have given the Redskins a 10-point lead with less than two minutes to play, the 'Skins are considering a change.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Redskins are making plans to kick the tires on other kickers.

Graham Gano is due to visit last week. Others are expected, too.

Depending on how it all shakes out, Suisham's miss might have been the last one he ever makes in a Redskins uniform."

Florio sometimes draws strange conclusions at the end of his posts. Point is, 'Skins are looking.
