BG vs. Idaho in Humanitarian Bowl

Post by TG1996 »

The MAC has reportedly released the matchups (according to several Twitter blow-ups).

BG goes back to the Smurf Turf.

OU-Marshall in Detroit, CMU-Troy in GMAC, NIU-USF in Toronto, Temple-UCLA/Army in DC.

Graham Watson confirms CMU-Troy in GMAC, which should continue that bowl's history of absolutely no defense.

EDIT: Watson confirms BG to Idaho.

Personally, I think it sucks, but this team deserves the bowl, even if it was played on the moon. Go out and win one more, seniors!

ROLL ALONG!

So if Army beats Navy, Temple plays a rematch against Army in DC.

OU-Marshall, 1pm on the day after Christmas. Attendance may suffer at the Hot-n-Ready Bowl.

OU fans must have turned out at the MACC (that or they got "stuck" with them). Bowl organizers are probably giddy to get Marshall back in town. But that's a lot of green and white for one field.

I feel bad for CMU. They deserved better than Troy. I am sorry, but the MAC champion should get a shot at a BCS school. Sun Belt? Come on now!

Yes the mothership ESPN. Not the deuce or the ocho or the U, but ESPN.

This is good news for me since I'll be in Scotland for my honeymoon, more likely to find ESPN proper over there.

I'll have to admit, I know very little about Idaho. Here's what I found out so far:

They have a great offensive attack, averaging about 450 yards a game (300 passing).
They do not do well against the pass and ended the year with a three game losing streak.

Our only common opponent was Boise State. Boise won that game 63-25.

That's all I got so far, should be an interesting matchup.

Would anybody like to step up and donate a plane ticket to me so I can go to this game?.....no? oh well. I really wish this game could have been closer but nevertheless I am ecstatic that we get to play one more game this year and I think that it's against a fair opponent. Should be a good game and I can't wait to watch it!

OK supersavers...let me know if anybody can find flights out of Pittsburgh, Columbus, Akron or Cleveland for considerably less than $500 per person.

With that amount, I expect budget to come in around $1500 for two people...hotels, car, tix, and Rockie's (just saw this Boise restaurant on Man vs. Food)....or for you Jolokia pepper eating fools there is a place called the Flying Pie that has a 'za which has 15 habanero's on it.
There is no other way to finish a season other than yelling at the top of your lungs among BG's players holding the Peace Pipe aloft!

I'm looking forward to hearing "Freddie Barnes just broke the NCAA Receptions record for a single season"
