And the good news is., the MAC should get some wins this year.
But, if they were playing this game (the H-Bowl) on the moon, we'd have an equal chance of assembling a decent fan showing.
I guess I'm just not happy about not being able to go. :smt013

If I were still in college, the drinking game would have been simple - a shot every time Freddie catches a ball, plus one for each TD - running, catching or throwing. I'm sure the recipe would have necessitated another semester ... or hospitalization.

Bassdrummin wrote:I'll have to admit, I know very little about Idaho. Here's what I found out so far:

They have a great offensive attack, averaging about 450 yards a game (300 passing).
They do not do well against the pass and ended the year with a three game losing streak.

Our only common opponent was Boise State. Boise won that game 63-25.

That's all I got so far, should be an interesting matchup.
Guess it's official then!

Our starting QB was injured in our last three games (all losses). He didn't play at all against Fresno State and Boise State, and he was re-injured early 4th qtr against Utah State and out for the rest of the game. Hopefully he's all set to go Dec. 30! I think it will be a good match up.

I know it's not the bowl you guys wanted (we have some issues with it, too!) but I look forward to seeing those of you that can make the trip out!

This one's in the bag boys. Check out the Vandals' D:

Pass Efficiency Defense #117
Total Defense #105 - 424.50 yds/game
Scoring Defense #112 - 35.50 pts/game
Rushing Defense #77 - 155.58 yds/game

NOTE: 120 teams are in I-A

We definitely have some issues on defense! Especially on the pass, which I know you guys like to do!

Seems the Vandals have a bit of little brother syndrome. The thread "It is BOWLING GREEN" is slamming Boise State more so than a discussion of the Idaho Vandals and their trip to a bowl game.

Oh, the blue turf...

Our colors are silver and gold, but we wear black and gold.

Looking forward to a good game also!

Nope, looks like black and gold or silver.

I think it should be a good game and I'm thrilled that this team earned a bowl trip (and a chance to visit a different bowl), but it just seems sort of... bleh.

What I really love is that it's a great date for a bowl game. Not so early in the season that no one's paying attention, but not in the GMAC/International Bowl slot of being a three-hour commercial for the next day's BCS bowl.

Plus, I don't have to work that day (or the next three), so if we put up another performance like our last bowl, the fridge is a short walk away. :drinkers:

Hey, I wouldn't exactly call it slamming! :) Most of the posters feel BSU and TCU got the shaft in that deal.
