If I remember correctly the student/general admission seats/standing area in the Stroh will be behind one or both baskets. Maybe all this standing (and not really paying attention to the game) resulted in chair seats along both sidelines. Cause and Effect.

The athletic department and architects must have realized the real fans sit in chair seats.

No, Greg Christopher has stated several times that the student section will be on the sideline. And really, can we let the whole sitting/standing thing go, already? Maybe we can talk about something interesting. Like basketball!

If you can't hear me you're not listening & I've been told that I can be heard across the arena, on the radio & some people who work alot harder at basketball than me want noise of any kind. Be the 6th man as best you can.

That's the truth Sue You can be heard everywhere in that arena! Whenever I'm running 88.1, I know if you're there because you do make it on the radio over all the crowd noise!

Of course, I unfortunately couldn't be there, so I can't say for sure. However, rest assured that when I'm there (usually with the band), I'm screaming my head off. That's another reason why I can't believe you in saying nobody was cheering - the band is always cheering for the team.

Regardless, there's a huge flaw in your argument that saying standing fans are better than people who sit. Give it a rest bud and just cheer on the team the way you see fit. It's great to see you care; but, you just have to stop attacking your fellow fans.
