He took a beating today on ATH and PTI. I doubt he makes it through the week.

It was a rough day to be a BG fan in Redskins country. Unfortunately I've had to hear people bash Suisham all day long. Because I really couldn't defend him missing a 23-yarder, I asked people to just wait until I was out of earshot to bash him. Few complied with that request.

I was watching the game live and my heart sank when he missed that kick. I felt/feel so bad for him, but I can't say I'd react any different if I was a Redskins fan. What a miserable night it must've been for him. He's had a good season as the stats show, but two of his three misses were very makeable kicks that would've locked up wins and of course that overshadows any success. That's just the way it goes I guess, I hope he's able to rebound with the 'Skins if not another organization.

Hopefully Suisham will come back to the Steelers. Jeff Reed is a free agent and with his off the field issues and lack of effort on kickoffs he will be gone.

Big freakin surprise that Dan Snyder would pull the rug out on a guy who's only missed what, 3 kicks all year? And let's face it, even if he makes that FG Sunday, Washington would be straight on their way to the playoffs with that 4-8 mark they would've had.

Morons. This was a very Browns-esque decision by the Redskins. One really bad kick and the guy is gone? Really?

I hate to say it but they did what any other NFL team would to a guy who is not a longtime veteran kicker. His stats are good this year but he picked the worst time to miss, two times now. The life of a kicker.

Unfortunately I have to agree that any NFL team would've probably reacted in the same way. I don't think it's just because Snyder owns the team. I mean it was a 23 yard FG. These token sports issues that crop up seem distant until it happens to one of your (a BGSU) guys. There was some pretty painful footage of Suisham on the local news here, it appeared to be him cleaning out his locker. The look on his face was pretty brutal. I hope he gets another opportunity to kick somewhere.

Me too. The Redskins are a joke.

I was at the game Sunday and my seats are in the end zone side that he missed the kick. I was at the first game he played for the Redskins, and now I was at the last game he played for the Redskins.

I watched him walk back and forth on the sidelines after the miss. It is amazing how alone you can feel even though you are surrounded by 80,000+. Nobody seemed to want to say anything to him.

Gone are the days when I watched Khary Campbell and Suisham on the field together during Redskin kickoffs.

Snyder is taking a beating and he should. He thinks by throwing money at the issue, it will solve it. He has been clueless since he bought the team. Suisham is an easy target for Snyder to pacify the fans. The Redskins have a lot more issues than their kicker. If you read the comments on the online Washington newspapers, SS was getting hammered by fans. The Redskins are the team that cut David Akers after a few misses.

SS deserves better, again come back to the Steelers. :-D

That's exactly my point. It's not like he forgot how to kick after missing two kicks. The guy's good, and if he does get onto another team he'll show it.

18-21.

Thats all you need to see to realize this was a stupid decision.

I dont follow him closely but always assumed his lack of an incredibly strong leg would end up hurting him. I am guessing it had something to do with this.
