Hopefully he can stay up with the big club until the Ducks get their injured players back. 13 minutes of ice-time is pretty good for your first NHL game, especially considering he received no PP or PK time, http://ducks.nhl.com/club/boxscore.htm?id=2009020411" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; .

Even if he doesn't stick for the long term this year, the fact that they brought him up after only a few games in the AHL hopefully shows that he's in the Duck's future plans. It's crazy to think that we were watching him play at The Ice Arena 8 months ago and now he's in the NHL.

Sexton played 14 minutes or so in a loss to Ottawa tonight, including a bit over a minute on the PP. minus-1 on the night with four shots.

I watched most of the 3rd period and all of overtime of the Ducks vs. Sens game tonight. Sexton was playing on a line with Bobby Ryan and Saku Koivu in the 3rd period. However, I don't think he saw the ice in overtime, which is understandable considering it's only his 2nd NHL game.

It's hard for me to judge, but Sexton def. didn't look out of place. In terms of speed, he didn't look like he was a step behind anyone. He did have a chance to score and even set up Koivu nicely in front of the net for a good chance. He also had a really good shot through traffic from the blue-line that almost got deflected in. I also saw he took a huge hit from Anton Volchenkov earlier in the game too on the side of the net.

He's gotta be pinching himself after being on the ice with guys like Neidermayer, Alfreddson and Giguere though. To climb through all of the levels of hockey that he's climbed through in the past 8-9 months is pretty incredible.

Dan has two goals tonight bringing Anaheim back from 3-1 down to tie Dallas. His second came with 1:02 left, they're in OT right now.

Congrats on the first NHL goal and a great night!

I was lucky enough to be able to watch the game on Center Ice. I don't think I've been as into a hockey game since the last time we beat Michigan at home.

His first goal was right in front of the net and came off a pass from Bobby Ryan. His second goal was really nice. He got the puck in the neutral zone, skated around a defenseman, then took a shot from a wide angle that looked like it handcuffed Turco. The kid's gotta be on cloud nine.

I also heard he got 1st star honors as well. The Center Ice feed cut out right after the game so I couldn't hear his speech though.

Just got to see Dan's goals on Sportscenter. Awesome! I think he also made top plays on this broadcast, but I only caught the end. I heard the phrase "2nd career goal" though.

Way to go Dan!

Congrats to Dan. I caught the game on NHL Center Ice. He looked awesome like he has been there forever. That's the one bad thing about Center Ice. Great to get the games but as soon as they are over a big "GOODNIGHT" appears on your screen and that's it. No post game analysis. This morning on Sportscenter I saw significant Dan Sexton highlights. Fantastic stuff!

Quotes from Ducks coach Randy Carlyle...Again, congrats Dan!!!

"He has proven in college, the ECHL and a little bit in the American Hockey League that he can score," Ducks coach Randy Carlyle said. "He scored two big goals. He probably doesn't realize how big they are for our hockey club.

"He's a young guy who made an impression in training camp -- not big in stature and size, but huge in heart."

In the gallery there is a picture of Sexton celebrating his first goal and a picture of him with his saved puck.
