Nate,
I dont think anyone enjoys your cute little napoleon complex rants more than myself, but do you REALLY think that living in BG is all that great? Be honest.

Actually I do. When I was kid I hated the fact my parents moved out of Toledo, yet by the time I was done with high school after moving back, I couldn't stand the place.

The town is like a giant sucking void in the earth. I've had more than one friend lament that the place seems to latch onto you and won't let go. Living in BG provides all the comforts of a small and predictable town, with easy access to bigger cities but with none of the pain.

I'm not saying living in BG is for everybody. But for me, having lived in Toledo, Los Angeles, North Carolina, and Washignton state, I've had my fill of big towns, moving, and gained the perspective needed to know what a pitt Toledo represents in many ways.

That said, you could do much worse than live there, and the folks tend to be friendly.

Temperature in the 70's

Omar is from Florida, as are a good percentage of NFL skill players. You will see many high calibar players such as Omar, Sharon, playing high school ball here.

If you hate LD so much come on down! And while we are at it, where are YOU from Mr. LD hater?

This might be the most confusing thread I have ever tried to follow. So I am not going to try to make sense of most of this. But I ask what is wrong with being from the Lima area. I know that there isn't much to do there, and one of the reasons that I was glad to get out, but I will say that if you live outside of it, it's not THAT bad, but you know, I could be way off with a lot of this idea, but then again, I am confused right now. Leave it to a Rocket to start some sort of confusion.

This is a messed up thread. Thanks Lakeland for posting what seems to be random thoughts. You've managed to make this thread an unbearable read.

Well prof,

It's really not all that confusing. One guy pejoratively refers to Toledo as little Detroit in all of his posts. I asked the poster boy where he is from, and he would not say. I assume that he is from some exotic and wonderful place such as Paris, or the North Pole!

Lima is fine (I was born in Spencerville), and Toledo is even better. In fact, we can start calling Lima little Toledo, in keeping with the standards of decorum on AZZ.

I cordially invited him to Florida where he can leave that awful place called Little Detroit, and he is apparently afraid to leave. We have some pretty good football down here, as I mentioned in my note. You see, all of your players did not go to school at Perrysburg or Sylvania Southview. A little known fact is that your star is from Florida!

Now let's address the random thoughts. The post began with a BG alumnus (not alumni) stating that his girlfriend is some type of BOBO who controls the outcome of MAC games including the Toledo - UCONN debacle. I submitted an article which mentioned the fact that our best backup QB, Cedric Stevens, had transferred to Tennessee with the implied message that perhaps this could have played a bigger role in the MCB outcome, with due respect to the good / bad luck BOBO.

I then received a sermon from the aforementioned LD dweller about special teams, defense, and how we looked like dung. I replied that a healthy UT team had beaten the beloved Falcons just last month. Another Falcon Almnus mentioned Marcus Council as a bonafide backup / starter for the MCB. I made a flippant comment about our 143 pound kicker starting at quarterback, which sailed over his head.

I hope that this clarifies that cluster that started as a thread about a girl with magical powers. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Lakeland:

Sorry the reference sailed over my head. For clarification, the reason I mentioned Council is because the article you posted said that Brucie G. was now the only QB who had taken a snap in a college game. The writer clearly omitted Council and, as a journalist, I guess I felt compelled to point out this error.

I don't consider Paris, Texas to be particularly exotic.

Lakeland,

Thanks for the clarification. Why didn't you just say all of this in the first place. I was perplexed this morning as to what this thread pertained to, but this helped me out a lot. Some of us profs just aren't to quick in the morning. :duh:

P.S. Small world, I grew up in Minster.

The article in question was written before this season began. At that time, Council had not taken a snap.
