I never thought about that, but if he keeps up anywhere near the pace he's at now he'd def. deserve to be in the game. It's too bad the NHL can't have an All-Star game this year. Then again I'd rather see those players in the Olympics instead of in a meaningless All-Star game.

It was pretty cool so see Sexton play live tonight against the Bluejackets. I think I was the only one in the arena who stood up when he scored his goal though ](*,) .

He's starting to turn some heads around the league. There was a thread started about him on HFBoards, for what it's worth, http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=713748" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; .

Another two points for Sexton tonight, both coming as assists. The second assist was a really pretty tic-tac-toe passing play on the power play. He's got 7 points in 6 games so far :supz:.

Keep it up Dan! That Olympic break is going to be huge for him too with this being his first long season.

Dan got a mention and his picture(albeit a small one) in this week's Sports Illustrated under the Who's Hot Who's Not section. It read:

"Two weeks ago the 22-year-old winger was playing minor league hockey in Manitoba(3 degrees the day he left). Now the rookie's in Anaheim(63 degrees on Sunday), where he had 4 goals in his first 5 games and was slotted on the 2nd line. His teammates call him Big Sexy."

ITs awesome when you look at the numbers of players that play Hockey at BGSu and then play professionally, our guys do very well. We are fortunate to play in such a competitive conference and National sport.

Scored again tonight in a win over Colorado.

Sam McCaig of The Hockey News named Sexton as his #10 big surprise of the season, http://www.thehockeynews.com/articles/3 ... rises.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; . Not huge news obviously, but it's still nice to see him getting credit around the league.

Dan had another goal last night in a win over the Minnesota Wild. An awesome cross-slot pass from Bobby Ryan and Dan buried it top shelf. They love him in Anaheim!

Well, its old news now, but my room mate and I caught Sexton playing for Manitoba against the Chicago Wolves over Thanksgiving, and he managed to get a goal in that game as well. Then, I was listening to the Hawks game on the radio yesterday, and heard his name again, and was quite happy to hear of his success.

Great job!
