I would love to switch to one of those but I can't fit "I ZG ZMBA" on them.

Of the 21,000+ only 30 of them actually went to Ohio State.

Re: Ohio Collegiate License Plates
I saw this article...the thing that surprised me the most was that DAYTON had "outsold" us on the plates... (I have one of ours BTW)... It's not a bad deal as the U. gets some bucks out of it. As to creating a special VANITY plate, i.e. I Zig Zmba etc., that's a completely extra charge... Only think I've never figured out is WHY the state continues to charge extra for the vanity plate after the 1st year, as it costs no more for them to send out the sticker... the college plates, because of the money going to the schools, makes sense, but not the vanity plates,IMO.
Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)

I would say that is about right in terms of alumni organizing and interest. OU, Miami and Dayton tend to have people who absolutely loved their experiences and have a huge connection to the school. Almost cult like
. BG does not compare in terms of alums that return for homecoming etc. Its a great school but we are in the minority when it comes to graduates who have an absolute attachment to it.

What's really stupid about the vanity plates is the rules pertaining to what you can get on them.
A friend tried to get something BG related with a 1 in the place of an I and was told you're not allowed to use numbers in place of letters. I suppose I could handle that, except that I've seen a half-dozen or so on the roads that do.

That is a pretty broad statement there. So BGSU grads do not love their experiences as much as DAYTON grads?
Graduation was today at BGSU...it would have been a great time to re take your survey.
I must respectfully disagree with your statement. You don't seem to know the people that I know. Does Falcon Fanatic ring a bell?
Heck 8 of those plates are in my family!

Like I said we are in the minority.....I think I probably turned that fraze wrong but my intent was to say that those of us on here display a connection to the school that most BG grads do not. They enjoy themselves but go elsewhere and dont often come back.always a falcon wrote:Globetrotter wrote:I would say that is about right in terms of alumni organizing and interest. If you dont think that Dayton grads are cultish for their school I think you are wrong.

Me too!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

If Michigan ever issues a BG plate, there will be 910!!
Re: Ohio Collegiate License Plates
I got a BG plate this year, and it's a nice way to get some O and B on the car tactfully.
I was hoping for the old school bg logo, but got the spaceghost. I still love 'em.
