Christmas Wishes

Post by Spectator »

I would like to see us win more games then we lose in the remaining season.

I would like to see the BGSU students really support the team.

I would like to see how everyone would set up the lines if they were coach for the day.

I wish we would pass more, shoot more and score more.

I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Joyous New Year.

Go Falcons!!!

Not that I have a lot of complaints, but I thought Kantola and Boyd played well together last year when they were paired up so I would try this:

Line 1 - JST, Solway, Dee (Don't mess with success)
Line 2a - Pageau, Perkin, Petruska
Line 2b - Rodriguez, Boyd, Kantola
Line 4 - Rotating combo of everyone else

I really like the way Williams rotates the players on the fourth line to get everybody game experience. With the limited ice time they got last year Sinclair and Vargas are practically still freshman. Water under the bridge and all, but how does a kid who played on the NTDP and another who totaled over 70 goals in his last two years of juniors spend the majority of the season in the press box?
I love people who can laugh at themselves. It saves me the effort.

that last statement you made i can answer.

That happens when guys like vargas and sinclair come into bowling green and they dont do things to stand out on the ice. While there play has not been horrible... They also have not given the coaches a clear cut reason they should be in the lineup. I dont see anything special out of those two and I wish they could but some guys just dont transition well or as quick as other guys do. Sexton, Solway, Cepis, all transitioned right into the college game and played well...Other guys just dont seem to get the hang of it. Unfortunately thats a problem but it cant be changed.
I am sure we will see these two through the future and hopefully they get into the flow a little more.

Here are a few that would be fun to try.

All frosh: Friesmuth; Thomas; Rodriquez

All Senior: Perkins; Boyd; Kantola

All Checking line: Dee, Finnigan; Vargus

All Speed: Solway; Pageau; Petruska

Sinclaire; McIntosh could be added to basically any line.

Defensively I like the pairings of .... In no particular order.....

Page; Krelove

Grover; Shea

Ruel; Peltoma

Moore; Rushing

I think Varas is going come out this second half, he has struck me since early on in the WL game as a guy who is going to be top producer.
That said, some of the best players never put up the big numbers and are the guy who makes it happen but is a touch out of the points. We need them as much as we need those who put the puck in the net.
