BG won the "Bowl for Beef" bowling challenge, 1,180 lbs to 1,040 for Idaho. Weather forecast for Wed is cloudy and 34...BG's forecast is cloudy and 31 for that day. Warmer weather for the boyz!

GO FALCONS!! BEAT THE VANDALS!!!!!!!

Just watched the Live Video Blog (Day 2). The snow tubing was cancelled due to a lack of snow. I wonder which Brilliant Bowl Organizer thought it would be a good idea for athletes to sit atop an inflated rubber ring and glide, with no ability to control their descent, down a mountain a couple of days prior to playing a football game.

Anyway, the video then describes how some collegians interact with beef fat & dryer lint. Ahhh, college life. Sometimes makes me wish I was back in Anderson Hall. Strike that!! It's because of that place that, to this very day, I can't touch pot pies & Wild Turkey without "chunkin"!!!

GO FALCONS!!

I've snow tubed before. It's not exactly careening down a mountain. More like a small hill...similar to sledding. It's fun, but I certainly can't see it as a major health risk...it's a much more controlled environment than skiing or snowboarding.

As have I. While the risk of a broken femur is low, a rolled ankle, sprained wrist or tweaked shoulder are very realistic. I'm sure the coaches were not "upset" when the event was cancelled, if they didn't cancel it themselves.

The coaches have a tough job of balancing the "experiences" of Bowl Week, with maintaining the atmosphere and preparation of Game Week.

I think if you are worried about your players getting injured on a small tubing hill, you might have bigger problems. We're not talking Clark Griswold type stuff here.

Oh, I know some sneaky Vandal would try to coat the bottom of our tubes with "a non-caloric, silicone based kitchen lubricant that creates a surface 500 times more slippery than any cooking oil".
