Halfhill chose BGSU over the likes of Michigan State and Wisconsin, something people on the outside find perplexing. But she says the decision was a pretty easy one and is looking forward to playing in her home state next winter.

“Bowling Green is better than people realize,” she said. “They just beat Vanderbilt. I’m really excited about going there. The coaches and the kids there are just like me and I’ll fit in well.”

We're starting to beat out multiple Big Ten schools for recruits, oh yeah. 8-)

That is freaking sweet. Seems like Curt is finally getting the respect he deserves for having a team that is competitive year in and year out. GO FALCONS!!!

Gotta love it when recruits get asked "why BG over (insert big name school here)" and they come back with facts like "well, they just beat (insert big name school here)" or "man that coach Miller really knows his stuff."

This is how you know we've arrived as a women's basketball power. Now all we need is to land one of those 6 foot 3, 6 foot 4 dominating centers. It's sort of unlikely, but if we're ever able to get that, we could be contending for much more than the Sweet 16.
