Humanitarian Bowl - Game Day!
Re: Humanitarian Bowl - Game Day!
Touchdown Geter! Now we need a stop.
Re: Humanitarian Bowl - Game Day!
Sure looked like that ball hit the ground.
Also, did anyone notice Idaho's #20 repeatedly grabbing his junk before that touchdown? He couldn't keep his hands off himself.

This reminds me of the Cal Bowl in 1982...what a kick in the balls
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
Re: Humanitarian Bowl - Game Day!
I think I'd rather get blown away than give up a winning TD drive with 30 some seconds left. At least you know for sure you aren't better than the other team.mmisbg wrote:Better than the last bowl game we were in. Lots better.

I still say his left knee was down on that final touchdown...

Re: Humanitarian Bowl - Game Day!
Let's see: We dominate the first half but fail to establish a large lead due to a few untimely mistakes. Then the other team dominates our defense in the 2nd half. I think we've seen this about 25 times over the past decade. Same freaking story.
This is college football. Pass interference is 15 yards. YOU DO NOT ALLOW HAIL MARY'S TO BE COMPLETED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES - Y0U SIMPLY TACKLE THE RECEIVER IN THAT SITUATION AND GO ON TO WIN THE GAME!?!?!?!?
Maybe the ID receiver did catch that ball. But how does the replay official make that call so quickly?

When you get beat when up 7 with 30 seconds left you got beat by the better team. Great effort by the Falcons but you gotta play 60 and get all the points you can when they are available. This team certainly has been exciting, entertaining and real competitors. Wish they could have closed this one out.BGWriter wrote:I think I'd rather get blown away than give up a winning TD drive with 30 some seconds left. This just sucks. Period.
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Well said. It is 60 full minutes...we left points on the field during the game. Idaho did what they had to do.FalconTurf wrote:When you get beat when up 7 with 30 seconds left you got beat by the better team. It's really bad coaching that leads to a team unable to keep a lead with 30 plus seconds to go. Something is really, really wrong with your scheme. Otherwise, how does a play like that happen?

Poor execution by kids who tried really hard and really wanted to win. I think they wanted this one even more than all of us.BGWriter wrote:It's really bad coaching that leads to a team unable to keep a lead with 30 plus seconds to go. Idaho had some really nice athletes especially on the O-line.
