This will be a tough stretch for the Falcons. Don't be surprised at something like 0-5 or 1-4 over the next 5 games.
The only two games I watched in person last year were the home games against Fordham and Canisius. Both teams were as athletic [arguably more athletic] and big than our roster last year. I don't believe that has changed this year either. Fordham will not be easy even with the coaching change. I hope Crawford is put on their guard Fontan. I thought Canisius was better than our team last year, even though we had our chances to win that game. I believe their two big guys, who played alot more physical and agile than OP, are still with their team this year.
Then, you end the road trip with Detroit, Temple, and Towson. Detroit and Temple will be like playing top tier MAC schools away, Temple moreso. Don't know much about Towson but they are in the CAA, a mid-major conference, and have a winning record currently.
I like this kind of scheduling though rather than playing non-D I schools. I believe this will help them grow up quickly and be ready for the MAC schedule. They better bring their A++ game or it will be rough!!
Brutal December
Re: Brutal December
I'm impressed with the Falcons despite the poor showing against Temple... 3-2 on this road trip is very good. Much better than I thought when I made the 1-4 prediction earlier this month.
Even more impressive 2night is OP monster game with 17 points 16 rebounds.
