Am I the only one who thinks the review of the last TD was way too quick? I don't think he caught it.

Nope. Sure looked like it hit the ground on that very last replay ESPN showed....the one that came on after the official announced that the play stood as called.

The review couldn't have been much more than 15 seconds :/

It certainly seemed quick to me, but they were quick on the replays all night. Hodges made a catch on a third down on the sideline that was reviewed very quickly. I thought it looked like he had lost control and may not have been a catch. The "jump ball" with Spencer and the Idaho receiver came back quickly as well.

It looked like it hit the ground, but it never should have got to that point anyway.

Maybe we can file a protest and fly back out there next week to replay the final four seconds? :-)

Seriously, that replay official acted like he/she didn't want to be bothered all game. How about that simultaneous "catch" in the 3rd quarter? Again, maybe it was the right call, but it didn't seem like the person who is getting paid to ensure that it was did the proper due diligence.

BG "got away" with one that wasn't even reviewed at all earlier in the game, but yeah, all the reviews were quick and that final TD hit the ground. What a crock.

(But yeah, it shouldn't have gotten to that point.)

They were very quick all game but with the game on the line that is all the time they spend on it. I think we got hosed because I sure don't think he caught it.

Great game. Not really sure I care too much about the end for whatever reason The end felt not real for mamny reasons. First of all our D sucks which was obvious. Second On that last deep pass I think the guy stepped out of bounds and came back in to catch the ball which was not called and lastly the guy dropped the td. Its like they wanted to hand them the game.

Losing in the final seconds of a bowl game and a 7-6 record is a great first season for a coach imo.

Disappointing finish and a tough loss. I was listening to the world's worst announcers on Sirius (little things like not mentioning WHICH 43 yard line the guy just ran to, not mentioning that the play was a run, forgettting which team had the ball and at one point calling Fred Barnes something different-how could you screw up HIS name? They were calling it all night) and they called TD for Idaho and a few seconds later when a big roar went up they said "and the Idaho fans are cheering because the review upholds the play". Never mentioned it was a close play or commented on the quickest review in the history of college football.

Great game for Barnes though.

After further review... 23 seconds elapsed from the end of "the previous play is under review" to "after further review." Unbelievable that they'd take that little time to look at the deciding play of a great game. Simply unbelievable.

Oh, and watching it again, it looked even more clear that the ball came out and the WR "recradled" it. And that's on a 27" standard def screen.

Just saw it for the first time on both SportsCenter and ESPNews, that ball came out. Like others have said it never should have gotten that far, but that wasn't a catch

Maybe the fact that our game was running over into the Holiday Bowl with 2 BCS schools playing on ESPN? Maybe they take more time if we're on the duece instead?
