Heartbreaking loss no matter how you look at it. In happiness I was crying when Barnes got that last touchdown. I couldn't even play the fight song. I was really worried about there being 0:26 left on the clock... I wish our defense could have held them.

Maybe the fact that our game was running over into the Holiday Bowl with 2 BCS schools playing on ESPN? Maybe they take more time if we're on the duece instead?

"After further review, ESPN tells me we've already missed one defensive series for Ndmakong Suh, and they will kill my first born child if we miss another. The result of the play is a touchdown!"

Though in fairness to the announce team, even with the Akey love, they kept much of the focus on the game, which was a refreshing change for a mid-major game on ESPN, and called a good game.

On another note, the Idaho fans are now the worst fans I have ever encountered. They were horrifically rude to the team, band, and the cheerleaders. There were Vandal fans right in front of the band and kept taunting us and getting as close to profanity as possible without being escorted out. On the way back the cheerleaders were telling us (the band) how they were flipping the guys off and calling the girls ugly (the mildest of the words they used). And then, to top it off, when they converted the 2-pt conversion, they started throwing snowballs at the team... WTF?! The PA announcer tried twice to tell people to not throw things on to the field from the stands and they kept doing that. I saw at least a couple snowballs hit our players and just missed hitting Clawson.
At least we still have classy fans.
