Should be an interesting game. MN transfer and former Falcon Jacob Cepis is eligible for the first time since the transfer and is expected to be in lineup and make his Gopher debut Saturday night.

The Gophers got off to a slow start and also ran into some injuries but looking to rebound as they get back to action this weekend. MN will be without one of their top players, sophomore Jordan Schroeder, who is playing for Team USA in the World U20 Junior Championship.

In the last action for the teams: BG comes into this weekend 2-14-2 and dropped a home-and-home to Michigan State, one of the top teams in the CCHA and nation. Including a heartbreaking OTL at home for the Falcons. Minnesota comes into this weekend 8-9-1 and got a pair of one-goal/ 3-2 wins on the road against Michigan Tech. Tech is a team much like BG, last in their conference (WCHA) and one of the poor teams in the national ranking (3-16-0). The Gophers have stuggled at home this season, only 3-6-0, but BG is 1-7-2 away.

Great analysis Drew and SBK. The other thing to factor in is the long Christmas break. How will this affect the Falcons? I know I would love to see their first sweep of the season. :axe:

Cepis in the 3rd line with Matson and Flynn should be interesting, Matson and Flynn will have his back if the Falcons get aggressive against their old teammate. and if they keep similar lines with other teams when Jake gets talking

Scoreless after 1. Seems like a little rink rust in the early minutes. Shots are in favor of the Gophers 13-8. We are dominating the faceoffs though, 13-7.

GOAL BGSU!!!!!! JST scores 1:27 into the 2nd! Assist from Perkin. (he tried to take a shot that got blocked by the skate of a Gopher and landed right on JST's stick!)
