I wish the womens game were before the mens. We'd go to that and make it back to Columbus for hockey. Could also visit with a granddaughter at OU. Have to settle for grandson at OSU. Misguided youth.

BG taking it to the kitties 37-18 at the half. Pontius has 16 first half points.

BG SQUASHES the Kitties! 77-42 Not one starter played the last 8 minutes of the game. Got good production off the bench.

Now we hope Toledo and Eastern can keep winning except for when we beat them to keep its high RPI ratings. Looks much better to get a quality win and both Eastern and Toledo could be quality wins for us come selection time.

At selection time the winner of the MAC Tournament will be selected, regardless of RPI. No other teams will be selected from the MAC.

BG RPI is predicted to be in mid 40s. If they were to go undefeated in the MAC, that would make them 26-4. If they get to the MAC championship and happen to lose they would be 28-5. I think this year with a high enough RPI they would get an at-large bid. But we need Toledo and Eastern to keep winning when we are not playing them. BG has two quality wins, and a loss to OSU is not a bad loss. Plus Hartford, St Bonnie and Marist will all win their conferences so everyone BG lost too will be in the dance.

I been paying attention to how the MAC does on Selection Sunday for the last 20 years. I know what you are getting at. Last years team did not have any quality wins. The conference as a whole had NO team except BG higher than 118 in the RPI, this year 4 MAC teams are in the top 70. If BG runs the table and would happen to lose in the MAC Championship it would mean BG would have 5 losses. More than likely all 5 of those teams would be in the dance, and one of those would be a #1 seed in OSU. Then BG would also have several quality wins.

No if the MAC would start to stumble and Toledo, Eastern, even Kent takes a nose dive and their RPI considerably fall then yes once again he will be sweating on Selection Sunday.

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
