Can you sit and show support or must you be standing all the time?

As far as the B.S. cheer, that should not be tolerated at all! This is posted under game day for football and I would presume it extends to all sports and all venues.
The management of Doyt Perry Stadium reserves the right to eject patrons from the stadium for intoxication, drug use, foul or abusive language or any other conduct that does not support a conducive family atmosphere as determined by Bowling Green State University Athletics.

So I would love to see those in charge who will remain nameless enforce policy for once. It would only take clearing a section once along with a PA announcement of why the section was cleared to get the point across.
Then why have the rule in the first place??

Those in charge won't do that, because to do so would be a public relations disaster for the university. It would look authoritarian in nature, and as it stands now, most of our student population is fairly ambivalent toward our athletic teams. If a whole section of them were thrown out at one of our football games, for example, I can guarantee that pretty much every one of them wouldn't be back again the rest of the season, maybe ever. Further, they would have further reason to badmouth our athletic department and root for other teams, ie: Ohio State, Michigan, et al.

BGSU would be taking a big risk by enforcing the rules to that extreme.

Yep. 24, you've spelled out exactly why it would be a completely idiotic move by the U. (Not to mention the issue of basic fairness toward those removed who where not saying "bullshit" but just standing and yelling.) That sort of nauseating moralism advances nothing.

Other random points:
- When someone has a definition of "family atmosphere" that is actionable, I'd like to hear it.

- I've stopped attempting to transform the world into a hothouse for my kids. It has proven difficult. People will chant "bullshit" at officials every once in a while. I teach my kids to know the world as it is. "The world has never compromised with me and it won't compromise with you." In the meantime, I've eased up on the judging. It made me sound pompous. "Classless", right.

- If a bunch of college fans are yelling bullshit, that's fine. I won't be yelling with them, and my kids will see that. After the game, I'll use the incident as a teachable moment. The lesson use terms like "restraint", "perspective", "mistake", "anger".

- If your kids are genuinely damaged by that kind of stuff, keep them home.

Actually we have played them in hoops twice recently. IIRC, they came to AA in 07-08, and we went out to Philadelphia last season.
