BG lands another verbal

Post by ROakes »

BG has picked up another solid verbal today in Charlie Walker. According to Rivals.com he is a 3 star linebacker that is 6'4 out of Sterling Heights Michigan. He had offers from a handful of MAC teams and even Kansas. He should be a great pickup for Clawson. Walker is BGSU's 24th commitment and maybe more to come with tmrw's national signing day.

6'4" for a linebacker is pretty tall. Any chance he could be a rush DE in some situations, like 3rd and long?

Charlie Walker was mentioned in our thread re: Mich. recruiting...glad to see it's now "official"... if FF1 says he can play....believe it.

One of the scout.com write-ups for him mentioned that he could project as an OLB or even a pass rusher in some situations, so yeah it seems like a possibility. Not sure about this year's stats, but he did record 5 sacks as a junior so he obviously has some experience rushing the QB.
