NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT DAY - February 3, 2010
Has anyone heard if the football program will be hosting any type of function and showing us the recruiting class?

From the BG football web site:
Football Signing Day Updates Begin Wednesday Morning
The Bowling Green State University football team’s 2010 recruiting class will be announced early and often on Wednesday (Feb. 3). The Falcons will announce each signee as their National Letters of Intent arrive at Bowling Green. For up to the minute information you can do it one of two ways:
1. Fans can follow the live blog, only at http://www.BGSUFalcons.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
2. Follow BGSU on Twitter at twitter.com/BGathletics

Rivals site showing 24 BG commits and hopefully all will stick with the Falcons. Word from my Falcon Tropics contact says that we may get a late commit to add to our list.
National Signing Day is a fun day! Impossible to know how anybody really did for maybe a year or two, but still a fun day.
Go Falcons!

Re: NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT DAY - February 3, 2010
Anyone know much about Trent Hurley besides what has been listed:
9:01 a.m.
Trent Hurley, QB, 6-4, 220, Connellsville, Pa. (Greensburg Central Catholic)
High School: Currently attends Greensburg Central Catholic ... coached by Muzzy Collosimo ... team captain ... helped lead his team to a conference championship and an appearance in the Pennsylvania (AA) State finals ... selected to participate in the East-West Pennsylvania All-Star game ... earned first-team All-Pennsylvania honors by the Associated Press ... currently holds the school record for passing yards in a season and career.
I know it doesn't mean much but I listened to the internet broadcase of the show The Front Row, with Norm Wamer out of Toledo, and it caught my attention the other day when he said this guy may start for BG next year as a freshman. Not a redshirt freshman but a true freshman. I thought I was mistaken until I saw his name as a recruit. Anyone else have any more information or a link I would like to hear more about him.

HOLY SH!T
Quick count shows (appx) 17 of the current 21 signees ARE TEAM CAPTAINS !!!
and check this kid:
Bryan Thomas, DE, 6-3, 230, Washington, Pa. (Washington) . . .
was the team captain of his basketball team and was a member of the track team where he ran in the 200, 400 and 4x100 meter relay team.
I'm impressed Coach . . . Great Job !!!

According to Rivals...BG has added a 25th guy today. A 3 star from Florida named Kendall Montgomery has signed a letter of intent to play for the Falcons. He is listed as a 6-6 TE....keep them coming Clawson!
Re: NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT DAY - February 3, 2010
We should be called the Sterling Heights Middletown Falcons!
3 players signed from each high school. Caleb Watkins brings with him his best WR. May already have some chemisty there

Ummm... I was pondering the Middletown thing, but I think it tells me that the DE and WR probably think Mr. Watkins is a pretty good player and gives them a great chance to win...
On top of that ..
10:37 a.m.
Kendall Montgomery, TE, 6-6, 235, Miami, Fla. (Monsignor Pace)
High School: Currently attends Monsignor Pace High School ... coached by Alvin Slaughter ... participated in the U.S. versus World All-Star game ... ranked as the No. 31 tight end in the country according to Rivals.com.
This is a HUGE TE and a great target for a young QB

Just a slight correction. Not all the Sterling Heights players were from the same high school. Silk went to private school Warren DeLaSalle. However, the Sterling Heights/Utica area is a hot bed of high level high school football in the Detroit area.
Re: NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT DAY - February 3, 2010
looks like all 25 letters are in. Class looks pretty monstrous lot of size where there needs to be and lots of Team Captains. Im ready for football season.

National Signing Day should be a national holiday.
I also noticed the majority of the class are "All State" besides being team captains. This, on paper, looks to be an EXCELLENT class.
WAY TO GO, COACH CLAWSON AND STAFF.
GO FALCONS
