Fantasy game for Michigan series

Post by Freddie »

OK, guys...we're gonna shake things up a bit, and try to create some more scoring on this week's series. Read closely!

Instead of choosing different players for each night, pick one larger group of players for the entire series. Your squad will consist of six forwards, four defensemen and a goalie...they can be from either team or any combination of the two teams.

Forwards earn 2pts for each goal, 1pt for each assist.
Defensemen earn 3pts for a goal, 1.5pts for an assist.
Goalie gets 1pt for each complete period (including OT) without allowing a goal.
As before, shootouts don't count for anything.

Each team's top three scoring forwards and one top scoring defenseman are ineligible!! That means: JST, Petruska, Solway & Page from BG... Hagelin, Rust, Caporusso & Kampfer from UM..

New BONUS pick: Choose one extra player for Thursday, and one extra player for Tuesday. This player can be anybody...forward, defenseman, goalie...it could be someone you've already included as one of your original picks (he'll earn double points), or it could be one of the players from the ineligible list!!!

Don't forget the tie-breaker, total goals for the series.

Entries must be in by 6pm Thursday!

FYI: Moore is out for the year.
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Thanks. I thought he might be back since there was no mention of his injury in the weekly Sentinel article....

Crap. I missed the new rule eliminating the top D from each team.

To: rood, MACMAN, Falcon Frenzy, sum1udontknow & pdt1081

Since the halftime scores are all so close, and so many of the tie-breaker numbers are right together, I'm adding a special 2nd tie-breaker: Attendance at Yost Arena for Tuesday's game

PM your guess to me before 6pm Tuesday so others can't see your guess before making theirs.

Helpful info at http://www.uscho.com/stats/attendance.php

FYI...here's everybody's guesses for tonight's attendance at Yost:

Freddie 6363
rood 6115
Falcon Frenzy 6225
pdt1081 6325
MACMAN no response
sum1udontknow no response

All the guesses are well below their average attendance, so we must have all been thinking the same way...Tuesday night, bad weather, etc.
