OH MY GOD, THE SEASON IS LOST! HOW COULD THE GIRLS LOSE A GAME ON THE ROAD TO A TEAM THAT ISN'T EVEN AT .500 ON THE YEAR

. Look, they lost to a team that is undefeated at home in conference play, they blew a big lead, they let off the gas. But the outcome of this game in no way is an indication of anything that might happen for the rest of the season. Jodi has really turned Akron around this year, but let's not forget that we did beat them once already. It's not like we have lost 5 in a row, and we are in such a skid that the confidence of the girls is way down. This team is still on pace to at least share the MAC regular season title for the 6th straight year, and are still going to be considered the favorites to win the tournament. It's one stinking game. Curt and the rest of the staff are some of the best in the country, they will figure out how to get the girls ready, and some of the kids that are in slumps right now will eventually break out of them. In close games, you still go to your playmakers, even when they are in a slump. It's habit and trust. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't. But you can't go away from what has been successful in the past. I am not saying that you give a struggling player the ball in the last possession when you are down two or three, but you can't ignore her before that point either. I don't know why the kids seem to let off the gas when they get up lately, but it is something that can be fixed, and I'm sure will be fixed. I was as dissapointed as anyone to find out that we lost last night, but you have to keep things in perspective, and right now things are still alright in the world of Falcon Women's Basketball.
