After 2 Miami still holds a one goal lead: 2-1. Marker by Perkin on a nice crash play.

BG loses 3-2 on what's best described as a fluky game winner. Props to Miami for clinching the CCHA this early but that was one heartbreak of a game. Guys played their butts off and Andrew Hammond was as solid as he's been all year.

Good effort by your boys. Will be interesting to see how Miami plays tomorrow night after the events of the past week combined with bagging the regular season title.

Lots of credit to your team after a pretty emotional week. I was impressed after the game to see so many Miami parents still hanging around talking to the players.

Do us a favor though and celebrate hard tonight.

I hate to nit-pick, but if you're going to cover CCHA and/or MAC, you ought to know that it is Miami University (therefore "MU") NOT "UM". PS, I really DO like to nit-pick :axe:

Its ok Miami likes to nit-pick too, just read their game notes, they give like five different they want you to refer to them as and like another five they don't wont to be refered to as :-D

Hammond played absolutely out of his mind. He's great. A lot of the guys came out hard the entire game. It was so much fun to watch.

Due to some technical difficulties I didn't grab video from tonight's post game but the athletic department did. Here's their feed:

Andrew Hammond

Dennis Williams

What a great game to watch tonight... it really looked like we were going to get walked over at the start of the first period. And, really, we were outplayed a lot tonight. However, we had the tenacity (and that's exactly what it is...) to come back and fight and win the small battles that led to the big goals that kept us in the game.

So many times this year we've been so close to winning but we just can't seem to grab on to the Ws.... it's frustrating, yes, but its also the reason that hockey is my favorite sport... any given night. It just hasn't been our given night in a while.

Tonight's game was good. I'm REALLY looking forward to watching this team grow over the years. I shot from the bench during pre-game warmups tonight for the first time ever. I talked to a few of the guys as they were warming up (the only people I had ever really talked to before were Kyle Page and Josh Boyd, two of my former students). The young guys seem like they are having fun despite of their record, and that makes me enjoy the game that much more. While the immediate future doesn't look spectacular at the moment, I think where we are going is going to be awesome for our team.

I'm proud to be a falcon fan tonight
