Try this... go to the User Control Panel (link is just under the logo in the upper left) and then click on "Board Preferences" and then "Edit Posting Defaults"

Check to make sure "Enable BBCode by Default" is set to YES...

This is ducky, but if I can put pictures into posts, I still can't embed YouTube.

I've check the settings, everything seems right, but I still can't get anything but code to display in the posts?

Or any other video. Not sure what you want as an example. I have no "insert" button, there are no options I can see that enable anything special. And I'm not a BBcode fan, so I don't know if some other tags are needed.

Let's say your YouTube video's direct URL was http://www.youtube.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;watch?v=pLTI3lejhGg&hl. To embed this video you would first remove what's in blue:

http://www.youtube.com/v" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;=pLTI3lejhGg&hl

Next, you're going to remove the green text (the = sign) and replace it with a forward slash (/).

http://www.youtube.com/v/pLTI3lejhGg&hl" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The resolution for YouTube videos is 425x344, so your code would look like this:

(flash=425,344)http://www.youtube.com/v/pLTI3lejhGg&hl(/flash)

Change the ( and ) to [ and ] and you're good to go.
