Looks like we had a battle on our hands today. I'm glad we got the win, it's always nice to win the conference opener.

Definitely a battle! Our guys came up big hitting lots of free throws down the stretch and pulled out a nice win. I noticed on offense ours guys seemed to be pulling Ron Lewis' and just standing there. When they did move, they all went the same way. Also, it took them awhile to start getting our big men involved down low but once they did get going, it opened things up. Great win for us!! :D

Nice job! Though if they keep this up, the guy working the deep fryer at McDonald's is going to be really pissed at the basketball team!

(And we don't want to make another UT grad mad, do we? )

Outstanding game from John Floyd today after coming off the bench. His 4-point play in the 1st half when we were down 7 was pretty big and he hit several key shots in among the trees throughout.

I'm glad we decided to get hot from the free throw line late because we looked like a bunch of 6-year-olds shooting FTs up until the last 2 minutes. Obviously, the rebounding stat is a little scary, but they had two really big boys down low that tore it up on the glass. Great win overall and let's take it on the road now! Beat the Herd!

Anybody know how Almanson is doing? He could barely get down the floor over the last 5 minutes.

Coach said on the post-game show he was "cramping up."

Wonder if that had anything to do with the fact that it was 8million degrees in the arena today. I mean, I am not a good judge of the temp. because I am generally always hot and get fired up at games, but man it felt like I was in my grandparents "florida room" or something. . .

New speakers sound great, now if we could just get the announcer to take the emPHASIS off of "bowling green state uniVERSITYYYYYYY, fuhhcons."

Yes, it was hot as hell in that arena today! And the announcer is a Chicago Bulls rip-off. He tries to make the emphasis that the Bulls announcer did back in their hey day. "And your Chicagoooo Bulls!"

Ball State beat Kent, and EMU beat UT. Welcome to the round robin beating that is MAC in-conference play.

I am fat myself so I tend to perspire more anyways, but I was definitely sweating more than normal in there. At the ladies game I had a long sleeve shirt and a hoody on at some points and was not as warm. Something was definitely up with the temperature!

This is a fun team to watch -- scary at times but with more true effort than we've seen in a while. Floyd was a sparkplug. Free throws were made when it counted but earlier I could have done as well. Buffalo has the players to compete at a high level in this league. We need Almanson healthy. They were rubbing a large ice cube on the inside of his right knee while he was sitting out the last few minutes of the game.

The comment about the heat was right on -- I felt like I was at the beach on a hot day with no air moving.

If Marshall wasn't a five-hour drive I'd make the trip. If you live in southern Ohio the trip would be worth your time. Just be ready for the crudest fans in the MAC.

Let me say this, John Floyd is not a role player. He's the glue to this team. He played poorly in Oakland, and the team gets killed. Moon starts, and we're down 6-0. Floyd had 19 today, they were big baskets, and did his usual hustle and diving. With him at the helm, we are much tougher to beat, and having him at 1 and Wright at 2 is the biggest difference between this year's team and last year's team.
