BiG in this game.... Akron leads MAC in scoring defense 57.4 ppg & field-goal percentage defense. Time 4 "cannon effect" from opening tip. A quartet of Zips can zap nets-Baumgartner, Murphy, Tamboue & Tecca, with others waiting on bench. Just like us.
This will be a war
Road Warriors= Falcons.
Play -we're @ "home" 'cause orange & noise abound.
2 JAR... Gas up, gone
3 in orange "Fit", 'pike transponder, intensity & volume----who's heading to "Rubber City"
Freak's already there.

Pontius come out on fire to help give BG a 10-6 lead. Unfortunately we also have 4 TOs in the first 4 minutes.

7 Turnovers in just over 8 minutes.
BG now trails 16-14.
We need to get Lauren involved. 8 minutes in and she hasn't even attempted a shot.

Bring in the spark plug Papenfuss and BG goes on a quick 7-0 run to take a 26-25 lead. Keep it up!

BG up by 2, 37-35 with just over 15 minutes remaining: BG shooting 5 for 14 from the foul line! OUCH. 9 missed FTs are keeping this game close.

BG wins a hard fought game 66-56 over the zips!!
Game was a 10 point game but if it were not for the sloppy play could have been a 20 pt game:
BG missed 14 Layups or shots within 3 feet
BG misses 12 FTs and only shoot 61%
BG has over 20 TOs
If we can clean up our mistakes and make our layups we will be in GREAT shape.

And Northern Illinois is up on Toledo 56-41 with 10 minutes left. If the Huskies hang on, BG would swing back into the #1 overall.
I've always been a fan of Carol Owens.

I am following that game on GameTracker. Tried to listen to it but I cannot stand the UT announcer. Everything is the officals fault. When BG was beating UT in the first half a few weeks ago it was the officals fault. I will just follow it on game tracker. GO HUSKIES
