I've thought of some opponents as well, but how would people feel about the first (basketball) game being against TSUN? I would love it.

Based on their play this year and to save money, UT has already told the NCAA they've lost the next two seasons already.

Now my question: who plays first, the men or women's basketball team?

I think we need an old-fashioned Women/Men's double header. Maybe even schedule a earlier morning volleyball game. Two marquee teams, not necessarily national names, but teams folks will enjoy watching the Falcons beat. Make the entire day a celebration of the grand opening, give the most people a chance to attend opening day.

I must say, it is going to be much much closer to the Alumni Center than I originally though. Basically a very quick walk from one to the other.

I have heard that the women already are well along in negotiations with a rather prominent national team for their opener.

OK, that confirms it won't be UT.

I'd still like it to be a winnable game.

Mid-Major with definite name recognition. I prefer that over any Big School 2 for 1, 3 for 1 or large donation to their bloated budget "deal"

It would be nice to have them comb back. I think BG could swing that.

Well if it is a dream scenerio, how about UCONN. We could have a double header.

Gino's yelling VS. Curt's foot stomping.
Coach Orr coaches against his former conferernce

Our women's team will be less potent that year with losing Pontius and Prochaska to graduation.

Is anyone taking snapshots every few days? I would suggest this as some of us were doing this when our stadium was built and one person put together a video time-lapse on YouTube. It's great to look back on the construction. Looks like a great venue!

I like Nathan's idea of a DH with a volleyball match before. Open the Stroh in grand style.

Does anyone how many rows of seats there are going to be from the court to the top of the seating section? I can't make it out from the blueprints online.

Maybe blueprints was the wrong word to use, I guess I meant floor plans, but here: http://www.bgsufalcons.com/sports/2009/ ... aspx?id=91
