More people showed up for the hockey game tonight than the MENS and WOMENS basketball attendance combined.

Tied up at 1 after 2 periods!

BG outshooting the Spartans. Keep it up and bring it home in the 3rd.

Shots are 27-22 for BG. Fantastic goal by Solway. Just a nice little wrister that found it's way behind Palmisano.

BG takes the lead only to have MSU tie the game with 5:00 remaining. DANG!! Looked good for a while. C'mon boys!!! Bring it home!

TIME FOR SOME O.T. It will be 4-4 for a minute as we had some penaties called late in the 3rd period.

Well we are 4 out of 5 when it comes to shoot out wins (80%) Even though this is MSU, I like our chances.

Great win for the guys. These seniors deserved to go out on a high note. Next up is going to be the long bus ride to Omaha to send Duh Mavs out of the conference in style.

This win made me SO happy. After four years, never missing a single game, this was exactly what I needed. I was up and down during the whole game (yeah, an up included a photo and autograph from Ken Morrow and we talked for quite a few minutes) but it was so sad knowing that was my last home game as an undergrad. It was a lot of "lasts", including belting Sweet Caroline as loud as I could and making a sign for the senior guys, who I have followed all four years. It was incredible to go in with lax chances and get the win. I wrote a semi-emotional Letter From The Editor in Section E Says, since I am passing it on next year to someone I hope is capable, but that could never capture my thoughts.

What an incredible four years. Win, lose, or fight, they have been amazing.

Great job, Seniors, and Good Luck!

(now it's time for some PLAYOFFS!)

Just a couple notes that didn't fit into the immediate post-game comments:

- Andrew Hammond was as sharp as I've seen him all year. He saw the puck extremely well and had great rebound control.
- Tomas Petruska for Slovakia 2014?
- Very cool to see the seniors take a "curtain call" after the game and a big thumbs up to the students for not leaving.
- "Winning" 3 of the last 4 games means the team is starting to peak at the right time.
- That JST goal was absolutely filthy. Palmisano is probably still looking for his skates.
- Drawing UNO in the first round is probably a worst case scenario. That's a very long bus ride and UNO has been playing very well to finish their season including a 2 goal win over Miami in Cady Arena.
