Well, this schedule ought to put us in the NCAA!

Post by falconfan1 »

Our women's bball schedule has been released and how about two home games the the first 12 games? How about road games at Ohio State/WNIT and at New Mexico? How about another road game with an NCAA team in St. Francis PA? Road game at Duquesne. Back to back tourneys three time zones apart.

This is very tough with just a couple relatively easy games mixed in maybe Bucknell at home; IPFW on road. We play at home in front of our students one time before the campus returns fronm Christmas break. I don't like that at all, but if it is all we can do and the only way we could schedule, we have to go with it. Our starting MAC schedule is brutal too. If we make it through that, we will be much tougher for it.

If we whip Ohio State's 6'5" frontline, get ready for a home game the second round of the WNIT.

I saw Ali Mann, L. Honneger, C. McDowell and Coach Miller moving people in (I suppose the two freshmen) on Saturday. Mann looked very good.

Go Falcons!

Women's Schedule

Post by Class of 61 »

My biggest concern with this schedule is how quickly the 2 new girls adapt to the college game...even though we've got a lot of experienced and YOUNG players back, we still have to replace two very poised guards from last yr. with 2 frosh.

Starting PG's

Post by Falconboy »

I almost don't care who starts at pg this year as long as it isn't Casy Mcdowell. :D It looks like were nearly loaded for years to come. Hope we can get a really good center recruit in the 6'3 range next year.

Dennis,

Don't worry about Kate and Whitney, they will adjust well to the college game. Kate took classes on campus so that she could attend open gyms and play with some of the current players, and Whitney played AAU ball during the summer so she coudl fine tuen her game before the season starts.
