Florida Baseball

Post by short »

Does anyone know if there will be any gametracker, live stats or any live coverage from their Florida trip?

I don't believe any of the games last year, had game tracker or live stats, I really hope they do this year.

There normally is not unless the other school provides it, becase this athletic department treats baseball like the red headed stepchild and would never think of sending a sports information person or equipment person along for eight games! Normally the coaches have to call back the box scores sometime after the game to get any coverage on the web or in the newspater. Really sad!

The SID in charge of baseball is also the hockey SID. He's got to head to Nebraska-Omaha for the first round of the CCHA playoffs.

What Drew said. Sadly, the athletic dept, like most other departments, are strapped for cash. It would be ideal to have SIDs for every sport, but its not going to happen in today's budgeted world.

Yeah my family is all going down there except for me, haha :(.

I would make them run the livestats or something, but none of them have a laptop to do it on.

That's a great idea/offer BGDrew. Thank you!

You should do the livestats for us factman. :) Pretty please with a cherry on top.

That's awesome!

Does anyone have a box score for the game? And does anyone know if there will be coverage anywhere for today's game?

Looks like the Thursday and Friday games might be in jeopardy, as they are forcasting 2-4 inches of rain for those days. Today is an "off" day.

The Yale DH today was canceled. :\

The first game ended 7-7 after 5 complete.

I wonder if that counts as a complete game tie? haha

Hopefully things dry up for tomorrow's game.

Game for Friday against NDSU already canceled....................still raining!
It sure is fun sitting in a hotel room in Florida watching it rain.

Going to see two Falcon greats play Sunday in Sarasota, as the Phillies (Andy Tracy) and Baltimore (Nolan Reimold) square off. Looking forward to seeing them.
