Adrian Peterson injury

Post by BGGrad01 »

OU fans -- I saw that Adrian Peterson was injured last week and that he didn't have any carries in the most recent scrimmage. Is he going to be ready to go in 2 weeks? Is he ahead of Kejuan Jones on the depth chart? Just wondering because everything I have heard about this kid is that he's gonna be a really special back.

In various accounts, I have read that Peterson has either a separated or a dislocated shoulder. In either case, he is on the mend and is expected to return to practice within the next few days.

Jones has held on to his starting position and will probably get the most carries against Bowling Green. At this point, Hickson is running second team.

The possibility of Peterson playing against Bowling Green probably rests on how fully his shoulder has healed, how many reps he can get in the next two weeks, and, of course, how he performs. Another true freshman, Wolf, may see action at RB. RS freshman Choice might also be in the mix, but he has been injured for most of fall practice.

Hard to believe we are less than two weeks away from teeing it up.

Peterson is OK

AD had a dislocation and will be OK by the season's start. However Jones has been doing well in practice as well as Hickson. With Choice and Wolfe in the mix, a redshirt is not out of the question for Peterson.
