42 years and counting....
42 years and counting....
....well, another year & another season has gone by. Doesn't someone have that ever-shrinking list of teams to post on here? It's simply hard to imagine that 42 years have passed since BG last played in the NCAA Tournament. Think about that....42 years! Not since and NCAA Tournament win, since an NCAA Tournament appearance. That's five more years than I've been alive! I can only wonder what's going to come first, 60 years or BG being the lone team standing on that list. Too bad the MAC wasn't like the Ivy League and sent the regular season champion. We'd have gone as recent as last year. I knew it would take the mother of all miracles to win it this year, but we've had some loaded teams come up short in the quest for a MAC Tournament title as well. We've even hosted it once and lost to a team in the championship that we swept in the regular season. Sadly, the MAC Tournament is where BG goes to die.
GO BG!!!

Thank you, Mr Sunshine....
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

American University came off the list last year. William & Mary play in their conference championship game tomorrow night. Northwestern would need to win the Big 10 tourney to get in. No one else is coming off the list this year.

I love it when you hear on the various sports sites, "This is XYZ's first tournament appearance since 2005." Really.

Well, it looks like you all beat to me to the topic. I'll share my link nonetheless.

As nice as the press box was, I'm loving being able to root for the Falcons now. Too bad I have to do so from Illinois.

Re: 42 years and counting....
If they increase to 96 teams we may have a shot!
Re: 42 years and counting....
And in 1968 there were only 23 teams in the field --
