Wow I thought the kid was 6' 8", the article says he's 6" 10"! Great! We need a big man next year! He should help right away!

This is an interesting guy. I have grown to be a bit of a pessimist/realist when it comes to recruits but I thought I would share my thoughts anyway.

This stood out to me. "The senior center has seen marked improvement in scoring (16 points from 10), rebounding (17 boards from 10) and even blocks (seven blocks from five) from his performance a season ago."

Thats great to see, and right now if you look at our lineup for next year we are going to need big things from him. The block and rebound numbers seem to be an indicator of his ability, and that is good because those are the things he will be asked to do as a freshman. What I question is the league he is doing this in. If he is 6-10 playing 6-5 centers and less athletic guards then his numbers will be inflated. That was my first thought. But it said his offers rolled in more so after AAU, where he would likely face bigger guys.

2. Calhoun and Haynes are complete unknowns and McCelroy is up in the air as well. He has played 20 minutes in 4 games since a drug suspension including 0 last game.

Here is the list of guys we are looking at per rivals. i beleive Ray Chambers was a guy I liked alot 2 years ago after seeing him at state.

Great post Globetrotter!, Chris Ware would be a real catch! He's a horse 6" 6" 260! He has a coach some of you will remember!

Here's the link to Lincoln college, Kirk Whiteman was a real solid play as I remember him.

I think right now the starters for next year would look like this:

J. Jakubowski at the point/ Crawford

A. Calhoun forward/ Haynes/ Sealey

We still have this year but it's always fun to look ahead. Getting Chris Ware would be huge!

So after making a post in another thread and looking at how heavily weighted we are in terms of underclassmen I was thinking more about these 2 guys that are Juco guys and big men.

Next year we will have

Cant find much on him. Looks like he played there as a freshman 2 years ago and did not play anywhere last year.

I guess that Cameron Black is actually a Division 1 guy which is good news. His team is still in the tourney.

Black finished with 17 points, 14 rebounds, eight blocks and four assists.
Twinsburg's 6-8 Jonathan Harris, a Miami (Ohio) recruit, wound up with 11 points.

Cameron Black's final numbers look like he had a very good overall season. He led the entire Cleveland area in rebounding at 13.2 per game. He led the entire Cleveland area in blocked shots at 6.0 (!) per game. He averaged 3.1 assists per game. And he scored 16.4 points per game on a pretty good and fairly balanced team.

Thta's a pretty good year playing against decent competition. And a growing boy at 6'10".

With our front court graduations, I assume Mr. Black will be counted upon for some serious playing time.
