Calling this a renovation is a little understated...

Are there any renderings of what Steller will look like once things are completed??

It's about time. The baseball program has done so much with so little over the last decade and deserves a good facility. Good to see and thanks for posting the link!

Basically they are just replacing the dugouts, which were way to small previously. Congrats needs to go to Coach Schmitz for basically raising all the money for this new project, but is is only a SMALL part of what really needs to be done with the baseball program to make it competitive, facility, budget and scholarship wise, with the rest of the MAC and other schools in Ohio. It is simply incredible what these coaches accomplish, with what they have to work with in comparison with other schools.

Most definitely the dugouts are a good start. My guess is that the administration is working on some type of plans for further facility upgrades for baseball. I'd like to see them brick the stadium and add some bathrooms.
Baseball starts in less than 3 weeks.

They have tents erected over them so they can work in this weather. Can't see anything from the road other than the tents.

Anyone know if the dugouts are done now?

I'm curious to see what they look like.

i am hearing the first home game may have moved because the dugouts are not finished. Go figure........they have had since last July to get them done so they wait until January/February to start them and they aren't finished. Our incompetence simply amazes me!!!!!!

It's got nothing to do with competence, as it has everything to do with 109 hoops the athletic staff and contractors have to jump through for the university. If I remember correctly one of the private donations was actually from someone who said he would donate his time to rebuild both dugouts, but any capital projects must run the proper course (RFP, etc) per law I believe.

The problem is they keep "jumping" and "jumping" and "jumping" and the rope breaks and they start all over again! Do you want to talk about the $$$ they wasted on drawings that they could have had done for nothing? It goes on and on!
