Ogle was named 3rd team in D-1 today, Halfhill got honorable mention in D-1 and Stein was named to the 1st team in D-2. Congrats and ROLL ALONG!!!
And Yoder was named 2nd team in Division 3. Congrats again!
If I am not mistaken, Shanique Ogle is only a junior. She is only a verbal at this time. I think I did see her at a game during the season. But remember, if she hasn't yet signed her letter of intent, then we really cannot have any contract with her.
Pretty sure she's a Sr. I distinctly saw Brandi Poole right after the playing of the BG alma mater of one of our home games walk right up to the girl smiling and hugging her and chatting and what not. She has to have signed her LOI before then.
She is a Junior, and if it was during a contact period that you saw her at a game, or if she was on an unofficial visit, then any coach is perfectly allowed to talk to, smile at and hug her, without a signed letter of intent. The only time it would not be allowed, was during a dead period, and we didn't have any games during that time frame. You might want to go to the NCAA website and read the recruiting rules.
Well my bad then. I thought when I read a paper column online somewhere she was a sr, but alas I guess that means we still have a schollie to give for this year.

I believe The Blade mistakenly listed her as a senior in a recent article about their state playoff game against Waite.

I didn't realize BG was off of exit 71. Last time I checked the BG exit was 181. So if you travel up I-75 and stop at exit 71 you will miss BG but come close to Vandalia or Troy.

This "long tall" wouldn't be a 6'4 girl from Liberty-Benton would it? A friend just told me that there was a 6'4-6'5 girl (forgot the name) that had pretty decent athleticism ,scored about 23pgm last and might have verballed to IUPUI. I wonder if Curt and followed this girl or offered her. Apparently also there is Aaron Craft's younger sister Katie Craft at L-B who is a soph. If she's any good we should be taking a long hard look at her which I wouldn't know why not since Miller is so adament about finding local talent.
Just for fun, I Googled Tamika at Oregon. Seems she had her scholarship "revoked" by the coach that she followed to Oregon. So, Curt takes a chance on her...I guess that makes him 2 for 3 on taking chances, a loss on Nikki and a win on Tamika and Maggie.

Well, Nikki did work out on the floor. Off it, not so much.
